Corporate Membership will be open to all organizations which are materially involved in the Ontario Energy Industry. The annual Corporate Membership fee covers all employees in the Corporation. Membership is subject to approval of the OEN Board, or approval by delegated authority of the OEN Board.
All employees of the Corporate Member organization are eligible to join the OEN as Individual Members by filling in the necessary membership information on the OEN web site.
This category has been established specifically to accommodate individuals (e.g. sole proprietorships) and very small organizations, as well as individual employees of OEN members. Individual Membership will be open to all constituents who are materially involved in the Ontario Energy Industry. Individual Membership is restricted to small organizations with fewer than 5 employees and/or less than $ 1 million in revenues.
Individuals are eligible to join the OEN by filling in the appropriate membership information on the OEN web site under "Individual Membership."
Formerly Founding or Principal Membership, Voting Membership is open to OEN Corporate Member organizations which are materially involved in the Ontario Energy Industry and have typically demonstrated sustained support for the OEN over an extended period of time. Voting Membership shall be by invitation of the OEN Board and requires 2/3 support of the Voting Members.
Voting Member organizations shall be entitled to one Directorship on the OEN Board, to be nominated by their member organization. The Board manages the affairs of the organization and may at their discretion nominate officers and additional Board Members to represent other stakeholders from the membership.
All employees of the Voting Member organization are eligible to join the OEN as Individual Members by filling in the necessary membership information on the OEN web site.
Affiliate Membership is available to organizations, clubs or groups which do not fall into another membership category and which can demonstrate a material interest and involvement in the Ontario Energy Industry. Affiliate Membership is by invitation of the OEN Board and requires board approval.
The OEN Board of Directors may from time to time nominate or accept nominations from the membership at large for a Life Member. Life membership may be appropriate in situations where appreciation of the individual's dedication and contributions to the energy industry in Ontario warrant significant acknowledgement.
Retired former employees of Corporate, Voting, Individual or Affiliate Members, in good standing with the Ontario Energy Network, or retired executives from the energy industry, may be eligible to receive a complimentary "Retiree Membership" status. The only restriction in this category is that the individual not be gainfully employed.
